K9 Nose Work® is the fun search and scenting activity for nearly all dogs and their people. It is easy to learn, and helps build confidence and focus in many dogs. It is a safe way to keep dogs mentally and physically fit.  It is ideal for shy or reactive dogs, because only one dog works at a time, while the other dogs are kept out of the working area.

John Sam is a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI™) with the National Association of Canine Scent Work® (NACSW™). He is a passionate Nose Work enthusiast, his love for this sport and the therapeutic benefits this activity can bring to dogs, has lead him to become a Nose Work Instructor.

This is the first foundation course of your journey to the world of canine nose fun time. In this course, we will introduce the concept of the game, build handler observation skills and get the dog to focus on the hunting activity. We will be using food only in this course. You will learn the basics of olfaction and odour and start to understand how your canine friends smell their world. This is the pre-requisite course for the Introduction to Odour course.
